bird foundation awards prestigious grant to cosán group and myndyou

MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY. August 6, 2020 – Cosán Group LLC, an innovative leader in preventative care services for older adults, in partnership with Myndyou, is excited to announce the receipt of The Binational Research and Development Foundation (BIRD) award. This honor recognizes the two companies’ partnership, leading efforts towards advancing new systems for improved patient engagement.
This prestigious award furthers Cosán’s remote, technology driven therapy management. It also helps promote Cosán’s efforts to proactively preserve the patient’s health and address the natural decline of the aging process. For this new innovative program, Cosán will utilize Myndyou’s AI-based voice analytics and Remote Therapy, in collaboration with traditional home therapy, while leveraging Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies to monitor potential anomalies that may indicate a decline in a patient’s functional and cognitive health.
“The ability to deliver care to older adults in the home setting has benefits that go beyond the significant functional and cognitive improvements that can be realized through those therapy interventions. Insight into the individual’s home environment and daily activities resulted in critical clinical data that was often difficult to communicate and record in the individual’s chart at a physician’s practice,” said David Hunt, Founder, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Cosan. “The BIRD Foundation Grant has expedited our ability to bring together therapy, AI Technology, and Preventative Care Management, and we are appreciative and honored to be part of this outstanding program.”

Myndyou’s AI and Voice Analytics technology will be featured in Cosán’s Virtual Assisted Living (VAL) suite of services. VAL combines modern concierge patient management with remote monitoring to provide a complete and continuous care management experience for patients. These technologies help address the patients’ needs of chronic care. Often times the value of a therapy episode is lost weeks after discharge as older adults often experience a decline in health once therapy stops. Partnering with Myndyou to leverage AI and Voice Analytics to detect anomalies using Cosán’s remote care coordination platform VAL will directly target those two gaps.
“Our partnership with Cosan is very exciting because it gives us the opportunity to touch the lives of those in need by bridging the gaps of care,” said Ruth Poliakine Baruchi, Founder and CEO of Myndyou. “We are able to connect with patients using AI technology without losing the human interaction which is so important these days.”
Established in 1977, the BIRD Foundation supports industrial research and development efforts for start-ups and established organizations between the US and Israel. BIRD promotes and funds 20 projects annually in a range of industries including Construction Technologies, Electronics, Communications, Agriculture, Life Sciences and more.
